宮内博史 – Hirofumi Miyauchi
1986年、千葉県銚子市生まれ、新潟県佐渡市在住、画家・独立研究者。
私は、芸術は頭で考えるものではなく、呼吸（命）が整うかどうかが大切だと考えます。これは、ピカソの「芸術は、日常生活で溜まった埃を魂から洗い流してくれる」という言葉に通じます。芸術家を「クリエイターではなく魂の清掃係」だと考えると、本当のクリエイターは呼吸が整ったあなた自身です。作品とはきっかけの一つであり、触媒のような、儚い足場のようなものと言えます。
人間社会には「世界を創る意思」を挫く要素がたくさんあります。しかし、一人一人が呼吸を大切にしたら見える世界は全然違うものになるはずです。そして、もしも社会の常識が呼吸を大切にしたら、人の呼吸を奪う戦争は地球上から消滅します。魂が傷つくことをすれば、巡り巡って自分自身や身近な人がツケを払うことになるからです。
私は、30年にわたる伝統芸能の経験と、伝統建築といった身体的な修行をしました。伝統と向き合う行為は過去を吸い込むことに例えることができ、絵を描くという行為は未来への吐息に例えることができます。未来の芸術は、作家と鑑賞者の呼吸の共鳴が再認識されると信じています。私は、鑑賞者が「今、ここに生きている」という純粋な生命感を取り戻すための芸術のあり方を追求しています。

Hirofumi Miyauchi is a Japanese painter and independent researcher born in 1986.
I believe that art is not something to be thought about with the brain; rather, what matters is whether one’s breath—one’s life—is in harmony. This resonates with Picasso’s words: “Art washes away the dust accumulated in daily life from the soul.” If we consider artists not as “creators” but as “restorers of the soul,” then the true creator is you, with your breath in harmony. A work of art is a catalyst, a fleeting scaffold
Human society is full of elements that crush the “will to create the world.” However, if each of us cherished our breath, the world we see would be completely different. And if our collective values prioritized breath, wars that rob people of their breath would vanish from the face of the earth. This is because if we do things that wound the soul, eventually we ourselves or those close to us will pay the price.
I have spent 30 years practicing traditional performing arts and undergoing physical training in traditional architecture. Engaging with tradition can be likened to inhaling the past, while the act of painting can be likened to exhaling toward the future. I envision that the art of the future will be defined by a renewed recognition of the resonance between the artist’s and the viewer’s breath. I am pursuing a form of art that helps viewers rediscover a pure sense of life—the realization that they are “living here and now.”
