Biography
1986 千葉県銚子市生まれ、画家。銚子商業高校卒業/和光大学芸術学科卒業/東金高等技術専門校建築科卒業
2014 鳥取市の空き家改装した飲食店「八百屋barものがたり」の蔵に居候。廃校の教室で絵を描く。
2015 2年ほどドイツ・ライプツィヒの空き家を使ったプロジェクト「日本の家」で暮らし、絵を描く。
2016 ライプツィヒの廃工場群を利用したアート施設「Spinnerei」の「Halle14」で絵画展示。
2016 リトアニア「Kintai Arts」より招聘、空き倉庫での展覧会「PIKNIK」を開催。
2017 空き家を再生した会場を使い「鹿野芸術祭」の企画、運営。
2020-2022 銚子市の空き家を改装。「ロクの家」、「Gallery Andecian」、子供プロジェクト「みかんの家」を作る。
2024 新潟県佐渡市で空き家を直しながら暮らす。

Hirofumi Miyauchi is a Japanese painter born in 1986.
He was exposed to local traditional performing arts from an early age and later studied traditional Japanese wooden architecture. After graduating from the department of art at a university, he exhibited his work at locations such as Spinnerei in Germany and Kinta Arts in Lithuania.
He subsequently founded the DIY art ecosystem “Andecian” and operates two galleries. He currently lives and works on Sado Island, surrounded by a rich natural environment.
Statement
私の作品制作は、思考ではなく身体感覚から始まります。
芸能や建築の伝統を学んだ手の記憶に耳を傾け、素材や技法を選択します。
私は、感覚過敏や共感覚という特性を通じて、世界の微細な歪みを過剰に受け取ります。
私にとって芸術は「生命の呼吸」を整えるための生理的な行為です。
私自身が呼吸を整えるための作品は、共感する人の呼吸も整えるかもしれません。
このことは「芸術における地動説」に通じる可能性があると考えます。
My creative process begins not with thought, but with physical sensation. I listen to the memories of my hands—trained in the traditions of performing arts and architecture—to select materials and techniques.
Through the traits of sensory sensitivity and synesthesia, I excessively receive the world’s minute distortions. For me, art is a physiological act to regulate the “breath of life.”
Works created to regulate my own breath may also regulate the breath of those who resonate with them. I believe this suggests a potential connection to a “heliocentric theory in art.”
